Aurore Koechlin is assistant professor in sociology at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, member of the Cetcopra research centrer and of the junior laboratory ‘Contraception and Gender’. She is also a feminist activist. Her research focuses on gender and health. Her thesis focused on the emergence, consolidation and destabilization of the gynecological norm in France (1931-2018). She is the author of La norme gynécologique en 2022 and La révolution féministe en 2019, both published by Amsterdam.
